Levi Nupponen

Levi is Managing Director of Agrology Pty Ltd, a consultancy service for the agribusiness sector. The business delivers innovative solutions and technical support for sustainable food production systems. Agrology’s clients include commercial businesses, industry bodies and Government, both domestically and abroad.

A horticultural scientist with 14 years’ experience in the protected cropping sector and executive training at INSEAD. Levi has held technical, operational and marketing roles in Oceania, Europe and North-East Asia.

His career began in The Netherlands gaining technical skills in glasshouse management which he would apply as Grower with Costa Group on their first large scale glasshouses in Australia. He then moved to the global agribusiness Syngenta with roles in Oceania and North-East Asia, receiving global recognition within for work initiating the snacking tomato category in Australia.

In 2012 Levi commenced with the start-up Green Camel. He is co-inventor of their patent pending technology platform which enables the coupling of recirculating aquaculture with intensive organic horticulture. He was the architect responsible for translating the physical processes into models and programs that users would operate to manage the production farm.

In recognition of their achievements in the sustainable food sector, Levi with his co-inventor won The University of Sydney 2016 Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
